Little Nightmares is a haunting puzzle-platform game with horror features and emotional storytelling. The game invites players into a distorted world seen through the eyes of a small child named Six. Everything is oversized and dangerous. You are not a hero with powers; you are only a vulnerable child trying to survive.

The story takes place aboard The Maw, a massive and unsettling vessel drifting in the darkness. As Six, your only goal is to escape. The environment is scary, with long dining tables stretching endlessly, shadows swallowing narrow hallways, and distant sounds echoing through metal corridors. There are no long explanations, no heavy dialogue.

Core rules

You guide Six through claustrophobic spaces, climb furniture far larger than her size, and solve puzzles using levers, objects, and timing. Try to balance between Six and the world around. When danger appears, you must hide under beds, sneak behind obstacles, or quietly move through shadows. Sometimes you must drag objects to create new paths. Other times, you wait for the right moment to cross a room without being noticed.
