Atari Asteroids arcade game is an arcade game where you control your spaceships by turning and utilizing your propulsion.
How to Play
Asteroids is a first-person shooter video game that was first introduced by Atari, Inc. in November of 1979. The goal of Asteroids is to destroy both spaceships and other asteroids. A triangular ship is controlled by the player. It is able to turn both left and right, shoot in front of it, and propel itself forward.
At the beginning of each level, the screen is filled with a handful of massive asteroids that move in a variety of directions. The objects continue to travel in the same direction even after they have wrapped around the edges of the screen. One illustration of this would be an asteroid that has fallen off the top edge but has now reappeared at the bottom.
Rules to Success
Use your cannon effectively to achieve the highest score possible and bring those massive rocks crashing down. Each target has a distinct value. Yet, in order to proceed, each of them needs to be eliminated. Thus, take aim and fire accurately like a trained pilot until you have five lives remaining.
Use the keyboard to move the ship and shoot the asteroids.
